  • Socket and ratchet set
  • Torque wrench
  • Combination wrenches
  • Ball joint press or suitable removal tool
  • Hammer and punch (optional)
  • Pry bar

Instructions:
  1. Park vehicle on level ground, set parking brake and chock rear wheels.
  2. Loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly, then raise the front and support the vehicle securely on jack stands; remove the wheel.
  3. Apply penetrating oil to mounting bolts and ball joint fasteners. Remove any retaining cotter pins and castle nuts from the ball joint stud.
  4. Separate the ball joint stud from the steering knuckle using a ball joint separator, pickle fork, or appropriate press tool. Support the knuckle to avoid damaging brake lines.
  5. Unbolt the 25 mm mounting bolts securing the upper ball joint to the control arm and remove the old ball joint.
  6. Clean the mounting surface on the control arm and inspect for damage or excessive corrosion; replace control arm if necessary.
  7. Position the new ball joint into the control arm and install the included 25 mm mounting bolts. Torque bolts to the vehicle manufacturer's specifications.
  8. Insert the ball joint stud into the steering knuckle, install the castle nut, and torque to specification. Install a new cotter pin if applicable.
  9. Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque wheel lug nuts to specification.
  10. Have front-end alignment checked and adjusted as needed after installation to ensure proper tire wear and handling.
