Heavy-duty steel sway bar link designed to replace worn or damaged front or rear stabilizer links on 1997–2023 Cadillac and Chevrolet models. This direct-fit link secures the anti-roll bar to the suspension control arm or strut, restoring proper sway bar function to reduce body roll, improve handling, and maintain alignment. Engineered for durability and reliable performance, the steel construction resists bending and wear under normal driving conditions and road stress. Easy to install as a direct replacement part, it’s ideal for routine suspension maintenance or full restoration projects that require dependable steering stability.
Features:
- Fits 1997–2023 Cadillac and Chevrolet vehicles (front or rear, right or left hand applications).
- Made from durable steel for high strength and long service life.
- Secures the stabilizer (sway) bar to suspension components to reduce body roll and improve handling.
- Direct-fit replacement for worn or damaged sway bar links — no modification required.
- Simple, serviceable design for straightforward installation and suspension restoration.
- Helps restore proper suspension geometry and improves driving stability and tire wear.
Installation / Application:
- Difficulty: 2/5
- Estimated time: 30-60 minutes per side
Instructions:
- Park vehicle on a level surface, engage parking brake, and block wheels.
- Raise the vehicle and support it securely on jack stands or use a lift; remove the wheel for access to the sway bar link.
- Locate the sway bar link connecting the sway bar to the control arm or strut; apply penetrating oil to fasteners if needed.
- Remove the nut(s) securing the link at the sway bar and at the control arm/strut using the appropriate sockets/wrenches. Retain or discard old hardware per vehicle requirements.
- Remove the old sway bar link and compare lengths and mounting orientation with the new part to ensure correct fitment (front vs rear, left vs right).
- Install the new sway bar link in the same orientation as the original, hand-thread the nuts to hold it in place.
- Tighten the fasteners to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified torque using a torque wrench. Do not overtighten bushings if applicable.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque the wheel lug nuts to spec.
- Test drive at low speed to confirm proper handling and listen for unusual noises; recheck torque after initial short drive.
