Installation / Application:

Instructions:
- Park on level ground, chock rear wheels, loosen front wheel lug nuts slightly and lift vehicle using floor jack; support with jack stands and remove the wheel.
- Spray fasteners with penetrating lubricant. Remove cotter pin and castle nut from the upper ball joint stud (if equipped).
- Separate the upper control arm from the steering knuckle using a ball joint separator, pickle fork, or by pressing out the stud.
- Support the control arm and remove any retaining clips or rivets securing the ball joint to the control arm (replace rivets with bolts if applicable).
- Use a ball joint press to press out the old ball joint from the control arm. Clean the bore and inspect the control arm for damage or excessive wear.
- Press the new ball joint into the control arm bore until fully seated. Install any new retaining hardware or clips supplied.
- Reattach the upper control arm to the steering knuckle, install the castle nut and torque to factory specification, then insert a new cotter pin if applicable.
- Reinstall the wheel, lower the vehicle, and torque wheel lug nuts to specification. Test drive slowly and recheck fasteners and alignment.
- After installation, inspect for proper steering/suspension operation and have a wheel alignment performed if necessary.
